With the Veterinarian as the primary physician, I adjust pets. All that jumping, tugging on leashes, choke chains, falling off car seats can injure our pets.
If you notice your pet limping or crying when you pick him up, he needs a check up and may require x-rays done by your vet. If you notice the top of dog's or cat's paws getting dirty after walking, it may mean there is nerve damage to the lower neck nerves. This can lead to a dropped foot.
People get nerve damage associated with weakness and tingling from whiplash. So can your pet. This is very possible if leash training with quick jerks to the neck were involved in making training "corrections" or disciplining your pet. Remember, their necks are smaller and more fragile than ours. Just look at chicken neck and back bones next time you get a whole chicken to eat. Our pets cannot tell us when they hurt and they do not want to disappoint their trainers. They learn to live with their pain and dysfunction.
Our Therapy Dog, Odin, was born with bilateral hip dysplasia. This Is why I became interested in Animal Chiropractic. I noticed he wobbled when he walked and had difficulty jumping up into the van, even when he was less than a year old. His back had to do a lot of extra work when walking to make up for the hip stiffness. This caused him to put extra stress on his lower back. Since I took the training and have worked on him he jumps into the van as soon as he sees me getting ready to go to the office. He got better instead of worse with age! He was doing so well that I chose not to replace his hips 4 years ago. He has walked 4 miles per day with me for 5 years!

I have been serving the Orange County area since 1984. My services include
treating chiropractic care for animals as well as children and adults. I am
trained as a zoologist and biologist as well as a Doctor of Chiropractic and
Oriental Medicine. I believe in getting all my patients well as quickly as
possible and providing you with the information you need to stay healthy.
I am trained to provide chiropractic care to most animals with a spine as
long as the animals also have had a veterinarian examine them.
I have a deep love of all living
creatures. I have rescued many animals over my lifetime. I found there was a
need for a rescue center for chinchillas so I started one for Orange County
. I found that often people adopted these beautiful and cuddly animals
without really knowing how much of a commitment was needed to give these
creatures a good life and joy to their guardians. I have therefore added a
lot of animal health information on my website to help educate all
chinchilla and other pet owners.
